APEX: FlightPath3D Charts a Route to Success in China

With China expected to become the world’s largest commercial air travel market in the next few years, FlightPath3D says the country is an important part of its global expansion plan.

FlightPath3D has significantly increased its airline customer base in mainland China and expects to add more clients in the near future. Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Juneyao Airlines and Xiamen Airlines are among the China-based carriers that currently offer FlightPath3D’s moving map solution on their in-flight entertainment systems.

The company cited the International Air Transport Association’s forecast that China will add 921 million passengers annually to the skies by 2036, taking total air passenger volume to 1.5 billion travelers per year. Last year, the country’s civil aviation industry handled 610 million passenger trips, an 11.4% year-on-year increase, according to statistics released by the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
